JMI Sports helps build a community-centric partnership between University of Kentucky and Kroger.

The Kroger brand has always had a commitment to the University of Kentucky and the people of the state. JMI Sports helped solidify the partnership between University of Kentucky (UK) and Kroger. The partnership of these two brands reflects the values of these institutions and amplifies the Kroger commitment to UK. JMI Sports helped create a partnership that gave both brands national exposure, plus regional media reach, and local community impact that helps to reach Kroger's customers and drive sales.

JMI Sports forged a comprehensive partnership that included renaming the UK football stadium Kroger Field. It also helped Kroger solidify traditional media assets with the partnership. While renaming the football stadium signaled Kroger's commitment to the athletics program, JMI Sports built community touchpoints that complimented and cemented the stadium investment. 

When JMI Sports started this official partnership with Kroger, it had a goal to do more than just rename a stadium. IT wanted to be a part of the fabric of the campus and football program. Field logos, videoboard signage, branded entrances and concessions stands compliment the co-branding efforts. There are touchpoints set up with fans, where Kroger hosts 1,000 fans every home game in a "Kroger Fan Tailgate" area, to help complete a total fan experience. Kroger also committed resources to the Big Blue Pantry on the UK campus. It provides food to students with food insecurities. Kroger also helps with food panties and resources throughout Lexington and central Kentucky. 

Kroger also awards grants to local community youth programs and sports programs. Kroger is also on campus during move-in week each year, while students shop for food and goods. Students go to the local Kroger location and experience partner activations throughout the store.

Saint Louis University Saves Big on Cardio Equipment with Core Health & Fitness

SLU was looking to replace a line of cardio equipment in its recreation facility that had reached the end of its lifecycle and was outside the scope of its warranty. When replacing fitness equipment in the past, SLU’s Campus Recreation & Wellness team was required to go through the time-consuming and costly competitive bid process, which took time.

In addition to finding the best cardio equipment for their facility, it was important to ensure the line had the proper warranty in place since cardio equipment tends to have a shorter lifespan. By using the E&I contract, SLU was able to save significant time by avoiding the bidding process. SLU purchased a new line of cardio equipment through the agreement and realized an average savings of up to 8%.
