Private airplane charter is a fast solution to help athletes and athletic departments mitigate stress. Because the collegiate athletics season is year-round, flight after flight after flight is exhausting to manage. Chartering aircraft is a game changer in college sports. Here is how private chartering can actually improve athletics outcomes:

Scheduling around stress
Especially when games or events are coast-to-coast, your team can expect to be in the air for five hours. And that is if everything runs smoothly. Then there is time in TSA, at check-in, parking, waiting at the gate, plus travel to the airport. That is a lot of time spent traveling, for games that are often that same night or the next afternoon. With this, you are subject to delays, which can further complicate traveling as a team. There are many schedules to sync up. From bus to airport, waiting for plane arrival, and even worrying about your own team members showing up. There is a lot left to chance, including players' stress levels. Skipping many of these steps can help players enjoy more success.

Coordination
Another reason to look to private charter flights is your team has a dedicated operations coordinator with a background in travel planning. They can take care of coordinating details like making sure equipment is on board, your team has security, and gets to where they need to be when they need to be there. Coordination makes operations more effortless and efficient. Baggage handling for example is more effortless. Imagine vital sports equipment being lost in transit. Many private airports allow for convenient drop-off right at the aircraft, streamlining the boarding and luggage handling process.

Avoid jet lag with in-flight rest
It is rare to get rest while flying. Not only is it hard to get sleep in standard airline seating, but seat neighbors can make travel uncomfortable. A lack of sleep can cause changes in glucose metabolism and neuroendocrine function that negatively impact athlete's nutrition and athletic performance. Air charters also often give a comfort level that commercial airlines cannot match. A 6-foot-10-inch player or a 325-pound offensive lineman may not be as comfortable in a packed commercial airline.
