In the world of stadium foodservice, the choice of equipment can significantly impact the difference between a smoothly run operation and a chaotic experience for vendors and patrons alike. To enhance the culinary offerings on game days, it becomes crucial to make thoughtful investments in a meticulously curated array of foodservice equipment. Let's delve into the indispensable essentials that have the power to revolutionize the overall food and beverage experience in stadiums and arenas.
Commercial Grills and Ovens: At the heart of any stadium or arena food operation is the need for high-capacity cooking. Commercial grills and ovens are indispensable for preparing a variety of items, from classic hot dogs and burgers to more sophisticated menu options. Their efficiency and speed are essential to meet the demands of hungry sports enthusiasts during game days.
Concession Stand Counters: Streamlining the serving process is crucial in high-traffic environments. Concession stand counters provide ample space for food preparation and display, ensuring a smooth and organized flow. Opt for durable materials that can withstand the rigors of constant use while maintaining a clean and appealing presentation.
Beverage Dispensing Systems: Quenching the thirst of a large crowd requires efficient beverage dispensing systems. Invest in state-of-the-art equipment for dispensing sodas, iced tea, and other beverages. Consider self-serve stations to reduce waiting times, allowing patrons to customize their drinks.
Commercial Refrigeration Units: Proper storage of perishable items is a non-negotiable aspect of stadium foodservice. Commercial refrigeration units, including walk-in coolers and freezers, ensure that food ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption. These units are essential for accommodating the high volume of inventory needed during peak events.
Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems: A modern stadium or arena demands sophisticated POS systems to handle transactions efficiently. These systems not only streamline the ordering and payment processes but also provide valuable data for inventory management and customer preferences.
Popcorn and Pretzel Machines: Stadium and arena crowds have a penchant for classic game-day snacks. High-volume popcorn and pretzel machines add a nostalgic touch to the culinary offerings. These machines not only cater to the tastes of the crowd but also contribute to the festive atmosphere of the venue.
Investing in the right equipment is a game-changer. Commercial grills, concession stand counters, beverage dispensing systems, refrigeration units, POS systems, and classic snack machines are essential elements that contribute to the success of any food operation. By prioritizing efficiency, durability, and crowd-pleasing options, stadium and arena foodservice can deliver a winning experience for sports fans, making every game day memorable.

An E&I Cooperative Case Study
Spring Branch ISD Realizes Time & Cost Efficiencies with America To Go
America To Go is a catering management solution for school districts and higher education. The company revolutionizes how schools manage catering and food ordering. It reduces costs, risk, increases compliance, streamlines invoicing. It connects users to a broad network of approved caterers and restaurants on a single customized platform.
Spring Branch ISD had a catering contract in place that was not meeting the needs of users. It had limited cuisine options and services, limited vendors, and was being managed outside the district's e-procurement system, which limited control. After using an E&I contract to partner with America To Go, now 50 restaurants and catering services are available through the district's system. Plus customized reports have provided the district with powerful data and insights. The district has seen time savings as well. Tapping into the benefits available through E&I's contract means the school district can move faster than if the school had to conduct an RFP, handle the integration, and manage the contract on its own.
