About the Strategic Advisory Board

 

The Member Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) provides insight, feedback, and thought leadership to help guide E&I Cooperative Services’ strategy and member experience. Established in 2021, the SAB ensures E&I’s initiatives are member-driven, diverse, and aligned with the evolving needs of campuses across the country.

Purpose Highlights:
• Influence E&I’s strategic vision and direction

• Represent diverse perspectives from institutions of all sizes and types

• Share emerging trends and leading practices

• Provide member feedback and ideas for cooperative initiatives

• Participate in pilot programs and special working group

What SAB Members Do

SAB members are active contributors, offering their voice and expertise to strengthen E&I’s community. Each participant brings real-world experience and a collaborative mindset to help shape E&I’s priorities, programs, and partnerships.

• Quarterly meetings (three virtual, one in-person annually)

• Occasional working groups or pilot project participation

• Networking with peers and E&I leadership

• Serving as an ambassador within their institution and the education procurement community

 

Member Commitment

Serving on the SAB is both an honor and a responsibility. Members are selected for their expertise, leadership, and commitment to the cooperative’s mission. 

• A two-year term (members may be invited to serve multiple terms)

• Active participation in quarterly meetings and working groups

• Positive and collaborative engagement

• Advocacy for E&I within the institution and beyond

Who Should Apply

Procurement leaders across educational institutions who are passionate about cooperative impact and innovation. Ideal candidates are collaborative, strategic thinkers who bring diverse perspectives and institutional insights. Participants must belong to an E&I member institution.

Applications for the 20262027 SAB are open now. Selected participants will be notified after review by E&I leadership.

Term: 20262027 (first quarterly meeting to be held in January 2026)
